Davide Bigazzi is a master silversmith and chaser who is passionate about preserving the traditional techniques of Italian craftsmanship. He offers small, intensive workshops in chasing and repoussé at his Italian bottega in the United States.
The workshops are limited to just 5 students, so that Maestro Davide can provide individualized instruction tailored to each student's ability and goals. This ensures that students receive the most out of the workshop and that they have the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
The bottega is located in a beautiful and historic garden oasis south of San Francisco, California. The setting is both inspiring and serene, providing the perfect environment for learning and creativity.
Students who attend Davide's workshops will gain a deep understanding of the traditional techniques of chasing and repoussé. They will also have the opportunity to create their own one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry or other metalwork.

The Art of Chasing and Repousse'
THE ART OF CHASING & REPOUSSE’
This workshop focuses on understanding and utilizing the plasticity of metal to shape and raise rich and fluid forms and textures. Immerse yourself in metal with demonstrations & discussions on chasing tools, pitch, patina, & much more. All with an Italian cultural and historical perspective.

The Cuff Bracelet Workshop
THE CUFF BRACELET WORKSHOP
The main focus of this workshop is the creation of a cuff bracelet by employing chasing, repoussé, forging, & soldering. Learn how to add rich textures and sculptural form to your jewelry.

Tooling Around
TOOLING AROUND
One day of tool making + two days of chasing and repoussé. Learn to forge and form high-quality chasing tools including age-old shapes that Florentine masters have used for centuries.
